Aegis of Empires Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder 1E and 2E

This just might be our best Kickstarter EVER!

We have just under 3 hours left to go and thanks to amazing backers like Backer #850 Steve Jessen and to backer James Kennedy, who pushed us over the $70,000 mark and unlocked Fantasy Grounds conversions for the entire 5E line of Aegis of Empires, we are on track to raise the most money of any Kickstarter in the history of Legendary Games. We're within about $700 of last summer's Ultimate Kingdoms project, and while that Kickstarter still will hold the title for most total backers with over 1100, we are incredibly delighted with the response to this project and know that each and every one of you is going to have an amazing time reading, running, or playing this awesome adventure saga! 

So what stretch goals remain? At this point, the final stretch goal is the celebration of a job well done. We've been working very hard to make this project come to life, and we're delighted that everything we had planned has come to fruition, and we're going to focus on making it the very best we can. It's easy to get caught up in the thrill of the chase and keep trying to pack more More MORE, but we have a VERY full basket of awesomeness already! 

We have unlocked Fantasy Grounds modules for the 5E version of the Adventure Path, which by our numbers is by a wide margin the most popular version. We'll investigate the feasibility of doing PF1 or PF2 versions as well as Roll20 versions, but we never want to promise something we're not sure we can deliver, and the people we've found to work on those projects just have not been as reliable as the ones we've had working on Fantasy Grounds 5E. If you know people skilled and experienced working with Fantasy Grounds and/or Roll20 who are interested in some freelance work, by all means send them our way and we'll see if we can work something out! 

Meanwhile, the artwork just keeps coming in across the adventure path, including this work-in-progress on a delightfully dangerous scene! This was the same one we showed the line-art sketch early on with the attackers jumping through like Spider-Man. Still needs a little refinement, but we look forward to a final piece that will really get your blood pumping!!!

Hi to everyone and thanks for all of your awesome support and enthusiastic responses! We are closing in on 800 backers, making this our second-highest number of pledges for any of the 11 Kickstarter projects we've run and #3 so far in total dollars raised (we *might* just have time to catch the top two with a fast final rush). Wow, I go to bed and we're around $55,000 and I wake up and we're already past 700 backers (thanks to Kanemaru for being backer #700), with amazing backers like James W who pushed us over the $60,000 line and unlocked our FOURTH *free* bonus adventure, Feasting at Lanterngeist by Greg Vaughan! This sinister side-trek for 10th-level characters finds your heroes in a simple village in the midst of a delightful celebration. Ahh, it's so nice to enjoy a little rest and relaxation with the common folk!

Things are moving fast as we streak to the finish line and we appreciate so much each and every one of you. Our artists are working fast and furious to make fantastic new pieces. One we previewed about 10 updates ago was showing the color process sketch on our "waterfall scene" from the Grey Citadel of Dun Eamon in adventure #4, and as we get close to the finish, you can see there's more going on here than just a landscape! We'll continue to show off more amazing stuff, including some of the revised adventure covers coming your way soon!

Hi all and thanks to everyone for pushing us higher, farther, faster!!! We are looking forward to a fantastic final few days, adding more backers like Jim Dovey who pushed us over $44,000 during the night, and we're already almost to our next stretch goal at $46,000! Please continue to help spread the word, and if you're thinking about add-ons you can always pledge in at any level you need to now and then add on things later in Backerkit if needed! We're excited to see how high this thing can go in the final days, and to keep sharing with you more of the awesome artwork you've funded through our stretch goals! 

One of the things we've emphasized in this project is a certain old-school sensibility wherein your players and their characters are encouraged to take an active role in the campaign. It's not just how high your stats might be; you have opportunities to think creatively and engage in conversation with NPCs and research into the resources to obtain valuable clues that not only make the whole story come together but may provide a crucial advantage when danger threatens later on in the adventure. There are many pieces to the puzzle of the Aegis of Empires Adventure Path, and it takes cleverness and wit to assemble them all.

And hey, whoever said the library couldn't be a little bit dangerous maybe just didn't look inside the wrong book... :)

This project just keeps flying higher and higher, thanks to each and every one of you! We salute Peter K A who is backer #600 on this project, and also send a thank you to Corey C for pushing us past the $50,000 mark and unlocking our THIRD free bonus adventure, the 7th-level wilderness trek The Horseshoe Calamity by Ron Lundeen! Your heroes will definitely enjoy this frosty frolic in the snowy steppe. I mean, who wouldn't like to run with the centaurs? Surely nothing bad could possibly happen! 

We've also added a FOURTH free bonus adventure to our stretch goals, at the $60,000 mark, with another sinister side-trek by Greg Vaughan to a small-town swamp village where good times are about to go very, VERY bad in Feasting at Lanterngeist! Now $60,000 may seem far off, but I have absolute confidence in our fans jumping on board that we'll get there and beyond with ease! Plus we've got expanded production artwork and to enhance Greg's Design Journal, and because YOU demanded it we'll be creating a print version of the Art and Map Companion that you'll be able to order in Backerkit!
